Southwestern Meatballs

Meatball Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground burger
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • Heavy pinch of kosher salt and crushed black pepper

Southwestern Sauce:

  • 3/4 cup of hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves of garlic diced

Directions:

  • Combine all the meatball ingredients together
  • Form into balls
  • Refrigerate for a two of hours or until firm

Cooking

  • Over medium-high heat add a small amount of canola oil
  • Add the meatballs and cook till browned all over
  • Remove and set aside the meatballs
  • Drain all but one tablespoon of the reserved grease
  • Add in the onion and cook till softened
  • Add in the garlic and cook for another minute
  • Add in the butter and hot sauce
  • Add the meatballs back in
  • Put in the oven and cook till the meatballs are done (about 25-30 minutes depending on the size of them)
